The monument has been built on the Shumen plateau overlooking the city.
It gives a new view of the Bulgarian history and an opportunity to feel the spirit of the Bulgarian cultural and historical uprising.

The monument created I suppose on the occasion of 1300 years of the founding of Bulgaria in 1981,seem to be in better shape than the one in Sofia which was fenced off the last time I was there because it's falling apart.I have yet to visit this one,thanks for this glimpse of it.
