Doing skeleton tracking with an Xbox 360 Kinect camera (yes I know it has depth sensing) via PrimeSense's NITE package and Willow Garage's Robot Operating System on Kubuntu Linux 10.10. The computer is actually fairly garbage for this kind of thing but a Lenovo G530 - a laptop with 4GB of RAM and a 2.2 GHz Pentium D 64 bit - was able to do this at 30 fps with a 20% CPU load. The Kinect actually handles a decent bit of the processing.
very nice. I see a lot of potential for this. If only I could grasp C/C++ :/
