We notice some of the roofs in our neighborhood get this streaking on them. These homes are less than 20 years old. What causes this? Sometimes it is worse after it rains

  • Did you watch the video? I describe what this is and why it's there. It is algae and when it is wet out it holds moisture and appears darker than when it is dry. It can be cleaned using low pressure methods.
