Alison admits to having a rather hysterical fascination with singing out of tune. Two of her idols are Florence Foster Jenkins and Darlene Edwards. I must find more of these in my collections as they always make me howl laughing.

This incredible performance is a musical mindblower. The only people who can do what this vocal wizard is doing are those who are SUPREMELY secure with pitch (I was born w/perfect pitch and I'd NEVER be able to do this!). What makes it astounding is her ability to be CONSISTENTLY sharp by 1/4-1/2 step. Many can slide off at the end of a note (Florence Henderson) or purposely sing off pitch to be funny, but the control in THIS demo is unlike anything I've ever heard in my life. She's a MASTER.

Florence Henderson? Wasn't she Mrs. Brady in the Brady Bunch. Does she sing too??? Of course she does... I have a childhood flashback to when she lost her voice before the xmas service... aaaaaaaaah! sorry, I'm chatting away. Thanks again for your kind words... you're clearly a musician. :-)

Hilarious, makes me p**s myself every time I listen to it. What makes it even funnier is what a amazing talent Alison is when she is singing seriously.

When I am 50 Alison is going to sing at my '"do". She doesn't know it yet, but it is definitely going to happen!

i just discovered her and must agree, it's never too late to find another musical treasure. She is splendid, funny, everything and what a voice. Hope she's gonna be seen in cabarets here in Germany too. Saw the Singlettes 3 years ago here in Berlin.... so maybe there is a chance.
