The rouge test is a commonly used assessment of self-recognition. If the individual goes to wipe off the makeup, then it is evidence that he/she recognizes the image in the mirror as his/her own reflection. Since the subject is still younger than 18 months, it is not surprising that she does not attempt to touch her own forehead when seeing the red spot on the "other girl's" head.

I plan to post a follow-up video once she "passes" the test.
