NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Dot 16000) A classic example of the genius that is KEN NORDINE. While many people may not know who he is by name, they certainly have heard him more than once in the many voiceovers, commercials, radio shows, movies, television, records, etc., he has lent his unique voice to in his more than 60 year career. At 90 years old, Ken Nordine is still going strong. Check out his YouTube channel to see and hear more of this vocal icon: http://www.youtube.com/user/kennordine

  • I cannot believe you posted this!! When I was little this record was in my family's collection....but for some reason I think it was the flip side of The Fang. Could that be? I know the Fang was Nervous Norvus but they were both released on the Dot label so could it be that there was release of both "songs" on the same record?

  • @judyindisguise711 'The Fang' was released on Dot in 1956 and this one by Ken Nordine in 1959. The flip to this single by Ken Nordine is entitled, 'My Baby'. While they were both on the same label, it appears that they were issued at different times separately. I cannot locate any information that states of a single having both of these tunes on it. Not even a re-issue 'oldies' release.

  • This is a little too fast......check the speed

  • "I used to go to a place to eat called EATS..." For no reason I always like that line.

  • Hey thanks for your response. I probably got confused because they both had the same label and I was very young at the time. I am just AMAZED to find this online. I had no idea that Ken Nordine ever did anything else. This piece is a CLASSIC in my family!

  • groovy

  • Thanks for uploading this great wordjazz tune! As you say--I was familiar with the voice, but not the name. I was so blown away that I subscribed to Ken Nordine's YouTube channel as soon as I heard it!

  • hahahahahahaha what a title! Funny! Can kinda see why this one wasn't a hit!!! lol
