ug i hate king henry for doing that to his wifes. he didnt care about any of them. he only cared about having an heir. hes such a selfish pig! anne and cathrine were both good queens.

Have to rememeber though that Henry lived in a different age with different standards..

Not saying what he did was ok, just saying that he had alot of pressure on him for that male heir. Even in some of todays countries a family isnt cemented without a male heir..

But before hateing.. consider what was expected/needed.

Elizabeth did a great job as queen but that was not expected.

@princessariel2 You can't blame him for wanting an heir becouse if he died without an heir he had good reason to fear a civil war after his death so it wasn't selfish of him to want an heir, even if he in general probely was a verry selfish person. But that wouldn't be strange for a king who livd in that time.

It was easy for Anne to be carefree when she didn't have the responsiblities that Katherine did. Katherine was brought up in a more restricted manner than Anne was and Katherine had to be dignified at all times and not a girl. By Anne's age, Katherine had been married and lost a husband and then had to wait unitl Henry VIII was King to be able ot marry him.
