  • This is the Best Star Trek episode of all time. The issue it explores is crucial to our lives and the ramifications for the Star Trek Universe were the greatest as well.

  • Past Tense Parts 1 and 2 are great episodes of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", not only about time travel, but an episode that shows the issues of poverty and a lot of social issues, too. A very touching episode. The guests stars are great, character actor Dick Miller is superb as Vin, a Sanctuary District guard, Bill Smitrovich as Michael Webb, Tina Lifford as Lee, and Clint Howard as Dim who thinks aliens are bout to invade. This episode is one that should have gotten an award.

  • @whatever30345 The irony is that in this episode they were saying how Europe was falling apart...well theyre starting to fall apart apart right now with half of the countries bankrupt or close to it.

  • 6:13 - 6:37...

That's a question we need to find an answer to; AND SOON.

  • How could they have let things get so bad?! Greed, corruptions & selfishness will all lead to that.

  • @wijayapala It's never been fully explained. WWIII happens around 2060, Cochrane makes first contact in 2063, and apparently humanity wakes up and realizes there is other intelligent life in the galaxy, we've got to get our stuff together down here.

  • So how did humanity actually solve the problem of homelessness??

  • @MazeleyFanClub

Did you see what can happen what hate campaign can do? If palin or any other paleo-conservative get's the next presidency the US lose their role as leading power of the world. Get your head out of the sand, and take a look arround the puritan pilgrimage time is over.

  • @Miguelito1701 We're already there, because of idiotic brainwashed fucks like you who replace rational thought with partisanship.

  • This is a scary episode. We're not far away. Vote palin and we're a a huge leap closer.

  • Being from Santa Monica I can explain the attitude towards the homeless.

In Santa Monica the majority of homeless people find it more beneficial to stay on the street instead of get a job and maintain a home. You may disbelieve it, I've never had a homeless person accept food that they were given, only money. This is because food is free out of the dumpster, but they need money for alcohol, cigarettes and drugs. You won't find a homeless person starving in Santa Monica.

  • One of the many things that I loved about these episodes is that the fact that Sanctuary District is an innocuous sounding name which belies their really quite dark nature. Not only the Mayor of Los Angeles' use of the word "haven," actually. It reminds me of that great line from Dickens about the poor and the workhouses: "If they would rather die, they had better do it and decrease the surplus population."
