@RunAwayFromDangerBoy Freedom of markets is strongly positively correlated with standard of living and wealth, though the risk of income inequality is a prudent one, the entire society is by far more well off when you are given the freedom trade freely, you inadvertently fulfill the needs of others when you look out for your own. Look at America from 1850 - 1900, what a boom, that's what true capitalism can do, not this pseudo, Keynesian fascistic crap we have now..
-
Well, what do you have to say about RBE? Also evil? Will cause famine and whatnot?
And freaking stop it with Stalin, that's all you have to say in defense of capitalism. "Oh yeah? Well what about Stalin and Mao!?"
-
Unbelievable.

@RunAwayFromDangerBoy Vietnam was in the middle of a war. It is not the collective policies that resulted in those deaths. In USSR and PRC it was. Furthermore I was referring to a true capitalist society with actual freedom, which Vietnam did not have much of due to US occupation. However what about the nations occupied by Stalin after WW2? What about the invasion of Tibet by the PRC? Those people did not have a choice either.
-
@Nuclearwarhead357 Talk about people being murdered. What about a million people dead in Vietnam? Where the US supposedly waged war against communism. Who gave them a choice?
-
@RunAwayFromDangerBoy Furthermore, capitalism cannot ever be truly fair. What do you mean by fair? It's basically the law of the jungle. We compete and those who are more able will thrive, power can be accumulated by individuals and consequently they will impose their will on others. How can you justify, that after 10 thousand years of civilization, we still compete for survival? If you support this crap, we might just as well climb back on the trees.
-
Look, Stalin and Mao and by extension all other dictators were bleeding idiots. What they were doing wasn't communism but dictatorship.
-
@Nertip Yes, neither system is perfect but capitalism is much more fair, and can set up a non-oppressive, non-famine stricken society. Saying that it drove people to suicide? That was their choice the people murdered by Stalin and Mao had no choice.
-
@Nuclearwarhead357 Communism is an ideology, a thought on how an society could work, men like Stalin that made everyone think that communism in itself was the wrong doer. Capitalism is also a thought on how a society could work and it has killed its fair share of people as well, the difference is that the leaders that said they were communists ordered people to be killed while capitalism kills people by making the take suicide instead.
