Pfotenhauer Called To Task For Trickle Down Economics

On Washington Journal Nancy Pfotenhauer responding to a caller who tells her that trickle down economics don't work. She responds by bashing Germany and Frace and defending McCain's tax cuts for business and attacks the idea of a windfall profit on the oil companies. Given that Pfotenhauer has worked to lobby for energy company Koch industries her stance here is not surprising.

ok, everything she is saying is bull shit. With Trickle Down Economics we have more unemployment, a lower standard of living, and so on. At the end of the day we cant keep going down this path. Trickle Up Economics works, you get the poor people working and they become middle class. The math is not hard and we need to do something now if not we are really fucked

The very rich have been getting richer as the rest of us become poorer.

From my own understanding and assessment of this subject, trickle down theory does work in some situations, but not all, and trickle up theory works in many, possibly all circumstances.

Trickle down theory works if Capital is being used to create jobs, not used for consumption of commodities, because the wealthy don't spend enough, relatively, and it takes too long to spread. Trickle up works because consumption returns capital to capitalists, who can use it to trickle down by way of jobs.
