I agree that it's not that dumb...but isn't your example a known unknown....when you're able to consciously acknowledge an unawareness of a situation, that means that we know that something is unknown. It seems that we would never be able to imagine an unknown unknown because the minute we think about it, we become aware and it becomes known.... just rambling at this point ^_^
