2007 Scion tC, TRD exhaust, Injen CAI, Megan racing header

Giving it a little throttle in the parking lot. Early in the morning so i didn't give it much gas, it's way too loud.

Going to need to get a resonator installed to keep it quiet.

anyway, cars mods are in title;

Injen CAI, Megan headers, TRD exhaust. you install those parts; you get this sound.

it's annoying as hell, but the header gave quite a big boost in power. it's loud but fun to drive. the closer it is to redline the quieter it is on the outside.

If the car hasn't warmed up it sounds AWFUL at wot, nothing but rasp and bees in the exhaust.

once the header warms up it starts sounding pretty good on wot until about 4,000rpm where there's a little rasp, then after 4,000 all you can hear is the CAI growling and the exhaust moving a lot of air.

i have an invidia s-pipe on the car now as well as the mods in this video, it made the car louder on decel and gave a little more in the butt dyno.

so what if it's an econo car?

a lot of us dont have the money to buy something built to race off the showroom floor. we buy practical cars and make them fast little by little...paycheck by paycheck.

sure you can go and buy a gt-r right now. but you'll get sick of it quick. it's a fast car and nothing else.

buy a scion, slowly invest a few thousand into it and watch it grow from a little econo-box to a respectable car that is YOURS and no one else's.

@codizel123 I suppose that was a bad example, I know I wouldn't get sick of a GTR...

I guess you can compare it to someone buying a max level character in a MMORPG versus starting from scratch. Sure, the end result is similar, but you don't get the personal knowledge and experience that comes with investing time and effort into the thing.

@TheRealAtello Stole the words right out of my mouth. A lot of people tell me a Scion TC is a girl car, and I might as well go for a Civic SI for a few more grand. The thing is for a "few more grand" I can make my TC just as fast and have an adventure building it up. Plus TC's aren't burned out, a Civic SI is.

sounds great dude!!! i got a 2010 with the TRD exaust, working on getting the SRI and headers....

i also got it white :D!!!

@carleezy4021.. It depends where you are Megan headers have no cat converters. That's also a reason it's so loud lol
