On Saturday November 8, 2008, Peaceful protesters temporarily took over Hollywood Blvd at the Hollywood and Highland intersection in Los Angeles.
After the arrival of LAPD Gay & Lesbian liaison officer and discussion with protest leaders, officers cleared the intersection for protesters.
3 groups meet at the intersection after news of the 10 pm protest was spread by word of mouth form the earlier Sunset Junction rally organized by ANSWER Coalition and the L.A. Coalition for Equal Marriage Rights.
The earlier protest drew over 10,000 people from across Southern California, as well as out of state and international supporters in on of is not the larges pro-LGBTQ action in Los Angeles history.
