Well after a few incidents with hand launches, I decided to install the nose wheel setup from the Parkzone Habu, which has proven to be very sturdy and reliable. It is much more enjoyable to take off and land on the ground with wheels.
On a side note, I also modified my Parkzone P-51 mustang to have landing gear, and that's a blast too!
@nishbrown Well actually, Im 99% sure it was because I had too much throw on the nose wheel steering (fixed now), and if you notice, I was coming in fast at the flight stand and used left rudder to get out of the way, but at the time, full left rudder resulted in the nose wheel turning to 45 degrees which basically jammed it into the ground. My friend (qsecgtyhd) took a video of a different flight that day and I had a fast but smooth landing. Pretty short grass at our field; were lucky. (:

Nice job!
Ground turbulence (grass) is to blame for the great landing at the end!
lol

@IEATSRT Yeah I had my fair share of interesting looking hand launches. (: I really like the landing gear; it can be seen in the air but thats not important. I really started becoming annoyed with having to try multiple times to throw it myself and I figured that scale takeoffs and landings would add to the experience. I havent perfected it yet (obviously lol) but I think a 4-minute flight of touch and goes might be the next best thing to 3 and a half of full throttle.
