@kevi246 That is not a maiko, but a hangyokou. They are basically apprentices in Tokyo. Kyoto's kitsuke is a bit different than Tokyo's- I notice the use of ohashori more often in Tokyo, variation in obi musubi for hangyokou,etc.
And there are many, many different types of Japanese classical dance. This is one of them- these dancers are actually quite good at Yakko-san. But I wanted to post a confirmation with the original poster of the video to make sure they were from Tokyo.

aaaaah, arigatou gozaimasu! I thought it was Tokyo since I thought one of them was a hangyokou, but wanted to confirm. ^_^

@Anaikimaru probably tokyo. the maiko's sleeves are not cut and re-attached. and her kimono is a little shiny and flimsy. also the woman next to her is taking very exaggerated steps and not showing delicate grace that one usually sees in Traditional dancing.
Kyoto or Tokyo gozaimasu?
