@greyfoxzero at first they were, but ever since true quad sli boards came out around the 1366 time quad 8800 Ultras is possible now.
-
@itzmeluigi Aren't they limited to tri-sli?
-
@greyfoxzero Six 8800 Ultras crush a GTX 580. Even 4 8800 Ultras would be even against it.
-
@aaz1992 One GTX 580 = 512 stream processors, Six 8800 Ultras = 768 stream processors, Only advantage would be the GTX 580 has more vram, dx11, and less power consumption.

You dont need Quad or other higher processor or graphiv card. I reached full quality with core 2 duo and Ati radeon 5670. You dont need more powerful hardware.

I bet my computer can't run this game as good as your's!

@xrnfna78 Sorry those specs aren't meeting. Hope you kept the receipt.
is this double or triple sli, because with triple the average frame rate with these settings is 50fps

dual, 780i only came out as this video was made. I was using 680i at the time.

Only double, but cards and CPU and RAM pushed to insane limits. So hard CPu failed later GPU's did not. Of course my new CPu at 4.4 GHZ and DDR3 ram and GT 200's ease past this FPS but the GPU's are much newer.

At the time March 08, tri-quad sli would not even work most fo the time with crysis with current drivers.
