You are basically saying that God gave early muslims advanced scientific knowledge of the properties of iron and that those muslims then encoded that information into the Koran - all in order to prove that he (God) exists and that the Koran is valid. Don't you think that God could come up with a more effective and sensible method of making his point?
ANYBODY HEAR??? in some deep icy place they found a 3 billion year old meteor. that's billion not million. and guess what? inside of it are organic globules, the stuff that starts life... seriously no joke look it up on the internet.
Notice that it wasn't until science brought forth the periodic table, filled it in, and started combining elements, that we ended up with modern civilization.
It is fortunate that the Islamic world brought us the scientific wonders it did in its infancy. But, note that now the Islamic world brings forth nothing. Nada. Zilch. No literature. No Nobel prizes. No important inventions. Nothing. Just religious nonsense.
This surah refers to the COMMON knowledge that mankind had accumulated over centuries of time about iron meteorites. Yes, indeed. It was known that meteorites contained iron. This is certainly not metaphysical knowledge.
I notice that the entire Koran makes no mention of iron ore which is NOT brought by meteorites, nor does it make mention of the process with which to make steel, which is far more strong and far more useful to man than iron ever was.
Also the whole planet probably formed from the same sort of materials that is now in the asteroids, so iron would be present in the earth from the moment it is formed.
In ancient times (before the writing of the Koran) the major source of iron in the bronze age would be from meteors since here the iron is not combined in an ore it is simple to just use it in this form. So it is possible to know that iron can come from the sky.
You are underestimating the knowledge of the people at the time and overestimating our knowledge today to make your argument.
dude you are an asshole, 'scientific miracle', leave your stupid koran out of science they are incompatible
