Caeli enarrant...IV. I. Introduction The Pleiades M45 II. Scherzo. The spiral Galaxy M106. Performed by Ensemble 24. Matthew Coorey. It is no coincidence that "Caeli enarrant" refers to the cosmic vision of Psalm XIX. Georges Lentz's mysticism explores possibilities of space in its full breadth. In this vault is sound black holes, gaps with light, peace and nonsense as when Faust, crushed by rationalism, he yells that God shared with Spinoza: "how close I am to you" while the voice in the distance replied: "You seem to understand the Spirit, not me." In "Le dieu caché The Man and the absolut," Lucien Goldmann compares this scene with the legend of Theophilus saved by the Virgin. Pascal, Pascal terrified by the infinite spaces could be seen as Faust, and his 144 Frag. of "Pensée" acknowledges having studied the abstract sciences in vain for his no fellowship, not comunion with the human sciences. Good to know that Lentz explores the trackless spaces.
