Shelley- no, nick, dont even think about coming up with another excuse.
I got up, got my handbag and walked to my car, nick following, pleading me to stay.
I drove off and pulled up at Kims house. I knocked on the door, holding my handbag and wearing my pjs, joe answered.
Joe- woah, Shell, come in, whats up.
He pulled me into a hug an closed the door, Kim came out.
Kim- so you talked to him, huh.
I nodded and kim came over and hugged me.
Issy- Mummy? What are you doing here?
I quickly wiped away my tears and went to issy.
Shelley- I wanted to join the sleepover, what are you guys doing?
Issy- we are watching Peter pan
Shelley- oh cool, Mummy is going to go upstairs and when you start a new movie I will come down ok?
Issy- dont you like peter pan?
Shelley- no, no sweety, I Love peter pan.
I went up to the spare room and started playing the guitar that was in there and wrote a song, joe came in.
Joe- heyy
Shelley- heyy
Joe- can I hear?
I nodded and started to play.

Joe- wow, come with me.
He took my arm and took me down to the recording studio in the basement, he then ran out and came back in with everybody, the kids had popcorn and blankets and pillows. Kim set them up in the corner and then sat at the recording table thing with joe, joe motioned for me to go into the room, so I did, guitar in hand.
Joe- so do you want to do it all at once, or add guitar then vocal?
He said through the mic.
Shelley- uhmmm, all at once, then maybe we could do a remix with you guys.
Issy- and me!!!
Shelley- yes sweetheart, you too.
I sung the song about eight times and joe finally decided it was good. By the eighth time singing it the kids had learned some of the words and knew the tune. I picked up issy and took her into the recording booth, joe started the song and we sang along to it, Issy was so cute, she tried so hard to get every word right, and she did pretty well too.
When the song finished Joe had to save it and do something or other, I sat on the seat with Issy in my arms, hugging me.
She pulled away and looked at me.
Issy- what was the swong about mwummy?
Shelley- Its about daddy sweetheart, even though you dont see him very often you still keep loving him more and more everyday.
Issy- Mwummy?
Shelley- yeah sweetheart?
Issy- does daddy love me back?
Shelley- Of course he does hunny.
Issy- how come he never pways with me?
Shelley- He doesnt have much time.
She smiled and hugged me
Issy- Thats ok, I got you to pway wifff
Kim- okay, Issy, Uncle joe is going to put on Lachys new movie, you want to go with him and watch it?
She nodded and kissed my cheek.
She walked out but stopped at the door.
Issy- I love you mummy.
Shelley- I love you to sweetheart.
Kim opened the door for her and Issy went out to where joe and the other kids were, kim closed the door and came over to me.
