@supernovacomics That is true. I hate how everything focused on Goku and Gohan later on, and especially how they ruined Piccolo. They couldn't even develope Vegeta in a better way, who got most attention next to Goku.
It reminds me of how much Bleach focuses at Ichigo, or Sasuke in Naruto...

DBZ never was about the story but about epic combat. Well, DB & the start of DBZ had a good story for its time. Our little monkey-like hero and naive friend who grew up in the mountains turns out to be a powerful alien of a brutal race, whose brother kidnapped his son to convince him killing innocent people and friends. There is also a lot of irony, it starts how the evil Demon King, a once ruthless rival to the main-character, supports him to defend the Earth and to train his son...
