This video is a test / demo of the new Canon Vixia HF200 that I got recently. I made a bracket to attach it to my Nvertigo X skydiving helmet.

The video is produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 8 (trial version), wherein I found some bugs. It likes to crash on rendering: especially with transitions. Hence this video has no transitions :-/ Image stabilization and audio noise reduction work pretty well, though! Between the camera and the software, there's comparatively low image shakiness in this video.

BTW, this is the only cheap (read "consumer") software I've found with subtitle capability. There's one subtitle in here to test it out :-) Now let's see if they fix the transition bugs by the time I might want to buy it.

  • deurkl, yes, it's sped up a bit.

  • I know what you mean... this was the first time trying out the helmet cam setup. Check out my newer helmet cam videos, especially the Snowboard Carving - Feb #1. That's my "state of the art" right now ;-)
