Treat yourself to a rare Gearwire Studio drum demonstration as Owen O'Malley wires up the Yamaha DTXpress IV electronic drum kit. Owen checks out the multiple triggers on the cymbals, snare and hi-hat before taking a look at the module -- which despite its design simplicity, allows you to access a whole bunch of functions to fine tune your sound and brush up those chops.

  • Is there a 808-like sound ? I would like to use this module and the snare to add some bass drops during my live shows ? Thx to reply

  • @stickypinapple yes u can add a Tom or cymbal in the kick tower input

  • I'm buying the standard edition... I'm curious to if its possible to add any cymbals or toms? If anyone has an answer that would be great!

  • what i didnt like was the fact u didnt go over one of my major reasons for buying the kit and that was that i can record my self with that brain and play back over it or with the Aux input u could plug in a ipod and play along with your favorite music

  • @nickhot218

It probably was his first couple time using it.

  • I want a td4 ...but beinga poor atlanta boy I think ill get one of these...question though...how many pads can you add to it?

  • I think it boils down to individual preferences the roland td4kxs is good but i personally cant stand mesh pads i feel rubber pads are better for rebound i just love the overall feel of the kit and the brain is very user friendly.

  • suck to you all mine is on lay buy

  • how many kits are already installed and can you add another cymbal

  • this is so very well explained!! ive seen roland td4 reviews and i still have doubts
