One of the ladies in our troupe taught bellydance (30 yrs ago) when she was 8 mos preg. Her child claims to suffer from shaken baby syndrome (hee hee). Actully, her now grown child is very encouraging of her to dance.

Incredible - I mean that in the good way. I thought you couldn;t belly roll while pregnant - which bothered me because I am entranced by both pregnancy and bellydancing. Now I know that they can go together - it's sort of like Reese Peanut-butter cups, only instead of chocalate and peanut butter you get pregnant women and bellydancing. Did that sound totally insane? That's what your video did to me. Astoundingly beautiful!!

@fatkat357 - thank you! *blushing* belly rolls must be fun for the baby. they get to go on a roller coaster ride. she is 5 now and in dance classes. she loves her dance classes most out of any activity so i guess maybe it made a difference :)

Its great! just a question? isn't there any danger associated with belly movements during pregnancy?

oh no, on the contrary. it is actually very beneficial for pregnancy. part of the history of this dance, is a preparation for childbirthing. it make birthing easier, and usually less time.
