  • I'm not using the same cpu! I grabbed the Athlon X2 computer and moved the OS to it with the 5770.

  • @DAGTAGAMER11 gtx580?

  • @mennogamer559 like your grammar!

  • ultra bad grapish card XD

  • for now i have to deal with an amd sempron sargas single core 2.7GHZ 2 gb ram and an ati raedon 2100 integrated gpu.... but im gonna get the 5770 with an amd phenom II x4 840 (3.2GHZ) 4 gb ram

  • Continued -Now that I have a AM2+ board in it I might even upgrade the CPU.

Can take Athlon II's,Phenom II's X2,X3 or X4's up to 95 watts TDP.

If you ever have your emachines T6420 motherboard fail this is a good alternative. The Biostar motherboard has the same network chip (NIC) as the T6420 board. Also almost the same chipset too (not quite but close enough).

Right now I am using the resusitated revamped T6420.Apparently certain Emachines models had common mobo failures.

  • I had a Emachines T6420 too.The motherboard died on it.I found a Biostar (AM2+/AM2 Yes,that's right!) MCP6P M2+ Ver.6.x motherboard that worked as a replacement rather than a MS-7207 (Socket 939) board for only $40 at newegg.

I had a spare Athlon Le-1600 CPU and spare DDR-800 RAM (I used 1 stick of 1 GB at first).I did have to reactivate Windows XP though but it passed WPA.Afterwards I put in another 1 GB stick and a discrete graphics card.Did have to use another power supply though.

  • disable aero

  • that's true, 5xxx are awesome, real muscle cards, my 5850 bottlenecks my CPU, and it's a E8400 @ 3.6 Ghz

  • lol i used to be on that system only w/ 1 gb ram and a geforce 9500 whitch ran fallout 3 great at 60 fps

  • damn that cpu is going to bottleneck the shit out of a hd 5770 lol!
