AWESOME!! I just wired one up myself following your how-to "used a rheostat from a lamp I didnt need anymore" I mocked it up in a cardboard box and need to build or find a wood box still, The only thing I'm doing different is mounting from the bottom, I used some hard plastic water line "left over from hooking up the ice maker in my fridge" as spacers over the screws to place the magnet 1/16" from the lid.

This is pretty good. You should have used countersunk head bolts to make the surface flush, then a small circle of felt or electrician's tape over the heads would hide them and give you a flask-friendly top surface. Also, a lamp dimmer of any kind will also do to bring your speed range down to 'barely stirring' if you need that, too.
See, that is why you are the master and I am only a humble, um, non-master guy.
