Synagogo

This beautiful registered historic landmark in Chelm, Poland, is being used as a saloon and wedding hall. The people who built this synagogue in 1916 were murdered by the Nazis in Sobibor. Is this a good way to honor and respect their memory?

Using this synagogure in this way has nothing to do with desecration, or not honoring those that died. WW2 affected Poland so much that most buildings that survived / or were rebuilt will have historical significance. There are loads of ststues and buildings honoring those that died.

Actually, there are absolutley zero statues and buildings in Chelm remembering the 18,000 Jews who lived here before the coming of WW2. Besides, many Poles expressed outrage because catholic churches in the Soviet Union were used as warehouses. So what makes this situation any different?

There is no difference. My point exactly ...18000 Jews were killed and how many Poles? And I bet there's no statue dedicated to them either in Chelm. Poland suffered terribly during the war both Jews and Poles...and yet people outside of Poland tend to only remember the holocaust and Jewish suffering.

That's not what i said at all! I just get extremely angry at the fact that everyone remembers the Jewish suffering in Poland...and believe me there are many statues etc all over Poland to remember eg. Auschwitz, Warsaw Getto etc...and prety much no-one remembers the Non-jewish Poles apart from other Poles or those of Polish decent. please do not twist what I'm saying...i don't appreciate it!!!
