    IE sucks dick for downloads - it saves the downloaded file in your %tmp% folder then copies it over to where you wanted to put it - this has always been slaggish - with the lager files we download today, it unbearable. So, IE is the worst for downloading chrome ... I always used to use ftp command in cmd to download firefox.
