Resurrection 1980 Pt 11 Final

Ellen Burstyn experiences the afterlife for a brief time after a car accident that kills her husband. As she begins her long process of physical healing, she discovers that she has the ability to heal physical infirmities. While most people simply accept her gift, her lover (Sam Shepard) becomes mentally unbalanced and dangerous because she does not place the healings within a religious context. This has not been released on DVD and this is hard to find anywhere. This takes time to add so please have patience.

This is a comment I got from IMDB (Martin Scorsese was reportedly healed from asthma by the real life healer who inspired this film.) so you can make what you want of this movie, I guess this is why this movie was made to make you think!

I have been looking for this movie for years.....the remake just didn't cut it for me. The ending is so sweet and tender it just makes me cry.This movie is a gem and thank you so much for putting this movie out there. Greatly appreciated!!!

This movie was actually based on a true story, I saw it when I was a kid. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, that he is Lord and that he is Gods only begotten son, and was sent to die and be resurected for us; "If you believe, anything is possible." Matt, 21, 21...God says it all through the Bible! Modern society wants us to downplay anything that smacks of good and the love of the Messiah; that is satans influience.

I truly love this film. I remember seeing it when I was a teen and it stuck with me for ever. I have been looking for it for a long time but I couldn't remember the title. Only the actress Ellen Burstyn was in it. I did see the remake and it didn't have the same feel as this version. Now having seen it again and knowing that I can buy it will give me great satisfaction to be able to put it in my all-time favorites.

This movie connects with all who wish to have the power to heal at some time in their lives. Life is so cruel at times. A terrorist bombs a building. A father's beautiful and precious daughter is trapped partially under a slab of concrete. There is nothing he can do as the life ebbs away. Her final words to him as she holds his hand are "Daddy, I love you." Who does not long for the Messiah to come and His holy ones to rule with Him? They will heal the nations. I heard that little boy at the end grew up to be a republican congressman and voted against obamas health care plan, saying people don't need it ,the lord will take care of those that believe ..well i don't have health care .wheres my puppy ?
