used to think, the major record companies, had a secret room, down in the depths, and when a band signed the a&r man would say, "right ..unthaw a handsome man from stock. give him a bass guitar and that will help shift units"  stillthink that, but now i don't think that was the case for duran duran, seeing him talking thru the tracks u can see he is not only skilled at the bass, but all has ideas and vision. i sound soooo gay

@bryngOneOn I know what you mean. RT can play his ass off when he wants. I play the guitar and have tried out a few of his lines (bottom four strings of guitar are in the same tuning as a base), and you really need to get your game face on to nail them. Usually, with your typical 80's pop, I could play the part and do my tax returns at the same time.

Well it's turned out better than I first thought - luckily sound is off on this part only people, that doesn't usually happen, so you'll only have to put up with it for ten minutes.

The fascinating music usually comes from oh-so British bands such as Duran Duran. There wasn't ANYTHING on "Rio" that didn't fascinate me.

@nookie077 Yeah, since it's only the first part, I would keep it. Or if you really want to be a perfectionist, you could fiddle with it until it's perfect and then replace it.
