Directorinmovies Productions

NW Film & Video Festival Entry #1

Here's one of my 2 entries I'm submitting to the film festival held in Portland. Film festival is open to people in the northwest area.

This took a total of 12 days to shoot everything. We all put so much effort into this I have to thank my crew for this short:

Irvin Nguyen (performing, acting)
Denee Boylan (CINEMATOGRAPHY)

Denee did loads of work for me on camera work, even on one day she almost passed out by the heat. Please feel free to say anything, thank you :D

  • Really awesome work Eric! You and your brother are both getting better quickly. My only thing is I would have liked a little less shakycam :)

  • @TKDJeffrey Thanks Jeff you are way ahead of me :D

  • @directorinmovies one thing. right after he admitted that he killed her, you need a dramatic pause for a couple of seconds or whatever before the guy asks "why"

  • @seanw23 haha yes I'm sure i figured that out by now. thanks for your input :)

  • That was sooooooo good :)

The acting needs a bit of improvement but its still pretty good

  • Your work makes me proud to know you guys XD

  • Fucking Great :-) Like it !

  • @dardrex777 I Think his Videos are Actually Better that Yours...I mean dont get me wrong i love ur videos im a subsciber and a big fan..but this guy got some pro work in this video lol. it just need help on the story and the actors sound a lil too fake but outher than that its all good. and didnt u guys make a video together

  • Cinematography looks gorgeous dude.

The dialogue scene had a weird rushed paced... I think you could have been way more angry in dialogue... especially since your face wasn't mad. I'd maybe re-shoot the dialogue man.

Fight is good... but some of the camera shots got a little too shaky and keep in mind it'll look worse on a bigger moniter.

I think what's missing is the story needs a little more character development... more explanation as to why the guy had to kill... why he was so bitter
