This is a quick little video I made to show the unboxing of my NTSC-J 20th Anniversary Edition Gameboy Micro. I was quite taken back by the quality of this little device, and still find myself saying "Wow!" every time I look at it, days later. If you're an old school gamer, this is a tip of the hat for you!

  • Best D-pad of all time

  • @ilovemaryam08 Yeah, seriously, that D-pad is freaking amazing, I couldn't agree more.

  • @SonicAdvDX is that sarcasm or is it really good? because i was thinking of getting one

  • @jjalepeno55 No sarcasm at all! It's very responsive and easy to make quick maneuvers with. Super Mario World on GBA was a breeze with this thing.

  • ok...how come some famicon gba micro has the mario 20th anniversary logo on the back and some don't??????

  • @l0chris The logo on the back is the only difference between the Japanese and the American models.

  • For anyone wondering about the micro its like this:

-any gameboy is region lock free, so yes japan games well work on US gameboys and vise versa

-can only play gameboy advance games, sorry no color or original gameboy games

-yes the outlet well work on us power only, Europe sorry wont work. charger well get hot, so be cautious about it.-

    only difference its Japanese

-most cost about a $100 dollars right now so get

-ebay is the place to get these

  • @josesgcaedo

North American version still has a lot of value cause it was the only time Nintendo "officially" brought a Red and Gold Famicom coloured system to America athough it was too bad there no bowsers castle in the box..

  • Minimalist and Japanese...? Right.

  • @IZUKENZ i mean to say cant i just buy a english plug but i can put a japanese plug in the back so i can use it

  • @lfcdons1 can you clarify your question a bit more? (not trying to be rude just want to answer your question correctly) but i think you want to know, if your in the US it well charge with no problem, (same outlet as the US) it just gets hot after charge. if your in europe it well not work in your normal power outlet, unless you have a power converter.

  • @IZUKENZ can i use an adapter then to charge it then?

  • ahhh im so jealous!

i got the american version instead of the japanese version!

    dang

  • @ultragamer908 they still sell some online, look around i got mine on a site
