This was an INCREDIBLE film. It's Johnny Depp at his best. Its a sad story that has its own unique beauty. I think Depp could've easily won an Oscar for this role if they'd given him a chance to be nominated. It shows all the grit and grime of the Rochester's life and that didn't go well with the public. Because the film maker took a wonderful and much-needed risk, they couldn't see past the dirt to Johnny's amazing work. The film wouldn't have the same impact without taking that risk.

hm jack davenport and johnny work together more than in pirates?? learn somethin new everday
my pleasure incognito.
but, just to clarify; he is most definitely talking about the dark places he had to travel to emotionally with rochester -even if he was playing john wilmot the second earl of the caribbean he'd have to dip into some nasty places in the mind.
mind you, the locations we shot in were pretty mucky (only because the film makers made it that way)...maybe we'll post another clip about that.
thanks for all your comments everyone.
.cheers.
