See They Might Be Giants as a four-peice band performing their Hanukkah song live for the first time ever. Shot during Juidth Owen & Harry Shearer's Holiday Sing-A-Long at The Canal Room in New York City on 12/15/06.
I've always loved this song--very touching -- and how can you not like the only song in the history of written music to rhyme ''Hannukah '' with '' Electronica '' .
"I can't believe they got the heating lights from Kentucky Fried Chicken." Oh God bless Flans.
And I love that Linnell changed the lyric to "We'll play some electronica." Much better than the harmonica line. (Hmm, several line changes, actually. Guess Linnell's feelings about harmonicas aren't what they used to be.) Thanks so much for uploading this!
It's only too bad they didn't bust out the toy piano.
