  • Love this song. Mainly because I was born there!

  • they acknowledged that it was the song desolation row with new lyrics and they asked dylan for permission and he liked the lyrics and let them

  • Yeah that performance on Leno was devastating, someone can put er here?

  • Thanks for that, dude.I was stranded in front of a tv the other night, and I heard this on Leno,I think.I almost had an anuerism-"They are painting the passports brown, wait, wtf????"Im glad they got clearance for using one ot the greatest Dylan tunes ever.

  • I think I was standing right behind the camera man or close by... great free show!

  • @SqueekyAD again, well I just watched a few more videos from these guys, in one of them the Singer does an intro for this song clearly stating Bob Dylan having something to do with the song...not so lame, I stand corrected

  • @SqueekyAD Thanks for clearing that up for me. When I first heard this I got pissed being a huge fan of Bob Dylan cause I immediately recognized it. I thought how the hell can they get away with this? Its kinda lame though, I hope they give credit where its due...like stating that this isnt their song to all the people out there who pay more attention to catchy melodies and not lyrics.

  • CHIEF!!!!

  • rhett and the old 97's prove it again!!! this band of musicians is a GREAT, and i mean nothing SHORT of GREAT, LIVE band!!!! if you get a chance to see them perform, DO IT!!! their recorded music is 2nd , a back seat, to SEEING THEM IN PERSON!!!!

  • For you major Bob Dylan fans, Rhett Miller borrowed the melody from "Desolation Row" for this song. He went and asked Bob's manager, and after Dylan reviewed the lyrics he said "Go ahead!"

    Cool, I thought.

    Thanks WXRT's Lin Brehmer.
