Montgomery Fire, Windsor Locks, CT 7/16/06

Photos by WLFD. Video footage shot by Jason Hamilton. Roughly 8 minutes of footage showing the historic Montgomery BLDG in downtown WL engulfed in flames on July 16th, 2006. One of the buildings lost manufactured rifles during the civil war for the union army.

I guess the train station is a registered historic place. There were so many chemicals in one of the rooms near where the fire started...we're talking formaldahyde and other bad stuff that went out into the clouds that afternoon.

I remember this, they should have let the place burn down. It doesnt do any good to this town.

they let half of the complex burn down and the other half is vacant I believe waiting to be rebuilt or demolished and turned into apartments...I used to rent rehearsal space in that building with one of my old bands.

Lol that fire was epic. They should take down that fucking train station. It has no use what so ever. Not only that, but people learned that the building also had asbestos in it! Lol.

I used to live right behind the CVS that is across the street from the montgomery building that burned down.

I was watching this fire unfold from the E.W/W.L bridge. I was in J.R's Cafe in East Windsor and people were screaming "fire!" we all went outside to watch.
