from http://www.warbeats.com : Sometimes we have great individual sounds and we put them together in a mix but they don't gel as good as they should. You might need to find the sweet spot or sour spot in the frequency spectrum.

  • Haha 05:29 - 05:45 out of context: 'We're gonna move this nob, and you're gonna notice now that this is getting tighter. And that's what we want. So we're gonna give it about that much - we want it fairly tight cos we're gona find the SWEET SPOT....' Talk about Innuendos!

  • That's such a sweet fucking beat man.. christ I could rap to that shit all day.

  • Nice page! Check mine to get some free hip hop samples!

  • What do you think, can this technique be used for cleaning samples? Or is there some better method?

  • Panametric EQ drives me nuts sometimes.. and yet other times, out of sheer frustration I'd just frantically sweep the 'placeholders' and stumble upon this "SWEET SPOT".. I still can't figure out how I can get to that point, where I'd know what I'm getting at lol!! I usually just compose all the piano-rolls/instruments into 1 project and tweak the hell outta each one.. And then FINALLY with Pana..EQ. Wish I could view a step-by-step tutorial to a generic trance/dance number. Trade secret X'"(?!

  • so how will you know if you found the sweet spot actually? what do you listen for?

  • 10:18 thanks

  • These tutorials are always good, but they're always so long and drawn out lol. I wish I could just talk and talk like this guy can.

  • Cool tune, love the bass. Cool lesson

  • Perfectly explained. I use this a LOT more now. In fact i have stopped using other VST to do this job. It is so easy, too. Cheerz :-)
