To those arguing here:
Lukas V was TRULY 16 and running those times. African "teenagers" are easily in their mid-20's. But they call themselves 17 or whatever when they suddenly become good because they don't know what else to do without out birth records.
So a 16yr old running 14:10 is a little different than a 23yr old running those JR "world records".

@ncgreco360 Yes, but teenage east africans could very well be east africans in their twenties. Birth records aren't kept very well in Kenya, and it's hard to believe some of those "kids" running sub13 5ks are really kids.

Most likely hundreds of teenage male east africans have matched if not vastly surpassed what Verzbicas has done. Keep in mind that the JR. WR for the 3k is under 7:30, the 5k is under 13minutes, and the 10k is under 27minutes. All of these times run by teenage kenyans.

The person you are referring to is lukas verzbicas who is actually 16 years old. There are probably 100 africans who have run as fast as he has at his age or faster.
