Playing here are a couple of items built by Alan Pell, an eminent UK fair organ builder, which were on display at the 2010 Great Dorset Steam Fair.
First up is a modular 65 Key Organ, which as its name suggests, can be built up in different ways with different modules of sound (i.e rank of violin, rank of bourdon, percussion, glockenspiel, etc.) to give each customer their desired sound. Here it is heard playing part of 'Flieger March'.
Secondly is the nifty little automatic accordion - operating using solenoids and a midi system, but powered with a blower to produce the sound. Fascinating to watch.
