Me and two co-workers riding Loon Lake Trail near McCall Idaho in July 2008. I shot this with a Canon Powershot digital camera mounted to my bike helmet. I built the camera mount and set the camera to video mode.

  • Does anyone know the title to the music at the beginning of this video? So beautiful, I would like to have it. R.

  • @hoff99991 If you watched the whole vid, I gave credit to the artist at the end. It is called "The Gravel Road" from the soundtrack to the film, "The Village" . I looped it once cuz it was too short. You can hear it loop if you listen carefully at 4:31.

  • Very helpful video for getting beta on the ride. Did you have to ford a stream at one part?

  • @erality No All the stream crossings had bridges . At Least they did when I made the video.

  • Beautiful! This is one of the best rides in the state of Idaho. Thanks for making the film!

  • Thanks Steve. Coming from you that means a lot.

I thought it was a great ride too. It was definitely one of the best rides I've done all summer.

  • Thanks for sharing this video. I have cabin fever so bad right now. I love the Mccall area. And the mountains in general.

  • Thanks! I didn't have time to watch the whole video, but bookmarked it for later. I can't wait to watch the whole thing. I do a lot of hiking and exploring in that area. I lived at Burgdorf when I was a kid and also on the Sesesh as my father was gold mining in the early 50's. Your videography style is creative and the music just adds to the experience. Thanks for posting this! Rosemary

  • @erality An intermediate rider can enjoy this ride very much. I consider myself an Int. rider. Fitness level should be above average as it is long and around 5000' ASL. Don't rush the ride. Take a snack/lunch and have a break at the lake. Plan about 3+ hours for the ride and you should have a great time. It is a loop

  • Hi, had a couple more questions about the trail. Is this an advanced mountain biking trail, or is it something intermediate mountain bikers can managed? Is the Loon Lake loop from Chinook Campground 12 miles round trip? Is there a lot of hill climbing? Thanks.

  • @kpmull Awesome, thanks.
