  • M_N_S: Nice video man, you seem like a pretty cool guy, not that you're not in the forums! When you said you were going out to film this I thought you were nuts, here it is in the negatives, lucky. Wishing I was in Australia right now! -doppelGanger

  • Hah! Because 40 degree heat is way, way waaaaay better.

(Thats 104f) I'm glad you appreciated it. I have a couple of others to film atm, too, but its too hot! Its still rocking on at 40 degrees.

  • Yeah that's very true, you're a trooper out there in long sleeves for my learning pleasure! I have been working on getting into it from the three beat, but damn near gave myself a black eye about 7 times! Do you have any interest in doing a tutorial on crossers? I feel like they would open up my swinging, but I could be wrong.

  • Don't let the long sleeves fool you, its a really thin shirt and usually those sleeves would be pulled up.

Try breaking it into steps getting into it from the 3 beat... try doing the 3 beat then whirling around in a big circle until the poi are just on a horizontal plane... let them wrap uselessly around your waist or something... once you've got that down let them whirl above your head, once thats down, the corkscrew is but one step away... if in doubt, turn more.

  • Crossers... I'd leave them for now theres a lot of interesting stuff out there to learn and theres a few decent videos on crossers... perhaps by the time I've thought of anything worthwhile to add on the topic of crossers you'll be ready to start doing them.
