Silent Hill Shattered Memories Review

Silent Hill is back with a new vision entitled Shattered Memories and the game will do just that. Fans of the old, expect the unexpected. Newcomers, strap yourselfs in. Regardless of what side you fall on, Silent Hill is a solid gaming experience that Wii fans shouldn't miss.

Yeah, it doesn't exactly ahve the same kind of atmosphere as the other Silent Hills. But you have to remember that the original SH team is no more. We may never see a SH game like 1-3 again, as sad as it sounds. But I think Shattered Memories deserves its credit. They decided to go on a completely different road from what the other SH's have established. And for the most part I think they did rather well. Its similar to SH4 in that its a unique game on its own, but feels lacking as a SH game.

I just bought it today and I'm still torn. I have a week to return it and if I can beat it in 8 hour, which I'm 3 into, then what's stopping me? The "other world" is very intense, but I feel incredibly safe once I escape it. In the other silent hill games, I never felt safe

@RickLMint123 Yeah, I understand it better now (since the year+ that passed since then), altough I still find my comment very accurately funny. I do enjoy older Silent Hills now, I'm planning on playing the first one on my PSP soon. But I still consider Shattered Memories to have one of the best video game stories in like evur...

@poliv67 The other stories make perfect sense; you just have to actually explore them. Now, as for the logic pertaining to this game....it's more illogical than any Silent Hill game. How is a memory./ghost talking to normal people even remotely logical or make sense ? There's nothing wrong with Silent Hill; it's a normal everyday town. At least the original idea gave a reason as to why the town is like it is, but this just insinuates that the town is possessed.
