wow, thanks, ive built a few FAT but ive never seen one that works with the weight falling 90 degrees then pulling the arm over.
I just finished one like that in a programe called phun to see how it works. i'm posting the video.

WOW! I have studied up trebuchets for over 3 years now, ive built a lot. never have i seen that design! What is it!?

If You're asking about the Floating Axle King Arthur (FAKA) (J-Buchet - black + blue), I invented it a couple years ago. Mt site has info.
If you are asking about the modred (Pendragon, silver), the design has been around for a while (At least a year or two), but never made very large. I haven't put them on my site yet.
Gourdinator is a FAT (FLoating axle trebuchet) and they have been around for quite a while. There is info about them on my site as well.

This was an accuracy competition, so no range records were attempted (park is too small anyway, Trebarbarbaric almost hit the houses at the end last year with the world record shot). Range contest is tomorrow (Saturday). I will post videos afterwards.
