Interactive closet using Light 1

This project was done at School of design, at Carnegie Mellon (Instructed by Kees Overbeeke in 2006).

Just as language reflects the culture we live in, gestures reflect our mood. The goal of this project is to build a light installation/environment that motivates physical connection and allows humans to live within a specific environment. Our activity focus was choosing outfits, since current closets are usually dark, with minimal lighting and a lack of interaction. We first defined the two opposing value activities that can be found during choosing outfits: creativity, and detachment. We then we studied how physicality is involved in a dynamic choreography, which helped to establish the role light plays in a the closet.

This light system is for Creative person.
