251 Geared Arcane Mage, multiple 63k crits self buffed on undebuffed boss dummy 4.01 PTR

Some people doubted me when I told them about how hard mages actually hit, so here we are! Booom!

Spammed arcane blast to stack up to 4, and blew all CDs including a mana gem. The results speak for themselves. Don't worry guys, mage damage is fine! Blizzard is pro at balancing major patches.

yep i rmbr doing 90 or even 120k crits in raids after 4.0.1 hit with bis 10 man gear, but thats past

@wubs23 You will stay unkillable in bgs in cata if youre a holy paladin! They're slow as hell to kill at any 50+ lvl.

@PontujBrink thanks. im lvl 60 holy pally now and unkillable in wsg (well..almost:P) and never lost a duel. my enh. shaman got worse, he no longer does 40% but more around 30%.. and bg's got better. you were right about the being a higher level i guess.

@wubs23 Dude you're pretty fcking awesome if you do 40% of the total damage. In PvP however, the mechanics are different. In that lvl anyone goes down in 3 shots. Dont worry, in 85 the fights are much much longer.

@wubs23 its because of most of your spells hitting multiple targets, i.e. holy warth , shield of righteousnesss, hammer of the righteous, concecration, you would do worse damage single target as tank .

because chamys do more damage and tanks do less

im a newbie to this game, but please explain me this: im prot pally lv 30, in dungeons i do 40% of the damage(recount). Also when i play my lv 40 enh. shaman i do 40% of the damage in dungeons.

when i go to wsg or whatever, im dead in 3 shots. o.O'

i know i prolly suck, but how can the difference between the 2 be so great then?
