should have told the girls there was a body just prepared for tomorrows viewing, have a living person in casket with makeup on with lids open where casket usually sits, as girls walk into room and past casket, have the corps sit up slowly.

To glory789 and bigduey69,
I, also, live upstairs above the funeral home I own and am very insulted at your comments. Granted, not everyone would want to live in a funeral home, but in a lot of small mom and pop run businesses, still living upstairs is a fairly common practice, and as "creepy and disgusting" as it may sound, it DOES give families peace of mind knowing that their loved one is not left alone and that someone is there. Know what you're talking about before commenting like that.

Even though I would be kinda spooked living in a funeral home I guess in some way I'd get used to it! Great for Ouija board sessions! X

Who in the world wants to live in a funeral home ???
Yeah, what nightw4tchman said. People live in funeral homes so they can answer the phone at 3 in the morning if your family member dies. We're the live-in caretakers. It's VERY common. People just don't hear about it much. We have more pranks planned no worries. Life is busy now, but stay tuned. HAHA.

I'll have to agree with sbspangler. Living upstairs above a funeral home is common practice in the funeral home buisness. Helping to prepare the dead and ease the pain of transition for the family is an honor and is not "creepy" or "gross". The only reason why someone lives above a funeral home is to answer the phones in the middle of the night if one of your family memeber passes away. Ease up guys and tone down on the profanity.
