Disabled Athletes

A project my girlfriend and I worked on. It was a brief introduction to her presentation about whether disabled athletes should or shouldn't be given special accommodations.Personally, i admire these athletes and after making this video, have an undoubted respect for their perseverance.

5bkA, the video features these individuals because they have made significant contributions to their sport, be it with a disability or able-body.

Would accommodating to those with disabilities make it a even-playing field to compete against able-bodied individuals or does it pit a disadvantage (i.e. the artificial leg in Marlon Shirley)?

Although, Paco Torres seemed to be holding his own without any additional accommodations. Did you not see him destroying those other guys?

i am an athlete, and have been since i was little. i have very mild cerebral palsy and will most likley be playing on my JV girls soccer team this year as a sophomore. the only accommodations i may have are less intense practices and training, and that does not mean we are any worse than an able bodied person. so i say yes to accommodations because we all deserve to do what we love and should not be stoped just becuse we are different. WE should be given OUR chance to shine
