A Japanese house built as a private residence after the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake. The Yamamoto Tei in Shibamata is now a tea room with a beautiful traditional Japanese garden. When I was shooting this video, I got lucky with the lady playing the koto for the tea room guests. The room with the heavy doors is a storage room built to withstand fire called a "kura."
