guys ive seen him live within the past year. i know his voice sounds great still. but this song is just too tough. and i also saw the who songs when the performance happened, and they played The Real Me when I saw PJ. Again, he sounds great, but there are some songs where its just too tough

@TTGBMR i think smoking+touring for 20yrs has had an impact on his vocal but not as much as age....he has still one of the most powerfull voices in rock i saw him live on his australian solo tour 1mth ago and his vocals were stronger than ever..suprised me actually..pearl jam done a few songs for a who benefit a few yrs back and the version of love reign ova me was absolutely amazing..you should look it up on here pearl jam- love reign ova me vh1 honours the who

it's so nice to see them behind the stage...like real guys...talking to each other...they're amazing musicians...must be great persons too...it's impossible to have this lyrics and this music inside and to be wrong...to be bad...

@TTGBMR I've listened to plenty of PJ shows, from all eras, including '08 & '09, & he sounds fine on Blood.
I just watched it from London 2009 earlier, & he sounded great, if a little tired.
The only real effect it's had on his voice is causing it to be a little more raspy, which sounds better anyway, in my opinion.

@campoobutt FALSE. Smoking has damaged his voice since 1995, and if you don't know that then listen to the boots. He can't sing this song anymore, this is from 2006. Check out videos or boots of him trying to sing it from the last two years he cant. obviously it is a very tough song, but to say that smoking hasnt harmed his voice is ignorant

@AglajaMamy Well since he can still sing this, which is his most difficult song vocally, we can tell it's at least not hurting his voice.
