I'm 22 and I have to say though this song is not from my generation, it is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard. I grew up with this type of music. Thanks mom and dad for allowing me to listen to your types of music from a baby to young adult hood.

William Swifford became Oliver and recorded this perfect heartbreater in 1969. It's been covered forever since, but no-one came close to the tender beauty of this classic reading, with the tinge of anguish in the chorus. Lost too young to cancer, this man was a superb singer.
