When I hear her sing with so much passion, I want to cry, and I get pissed at the same time, cuz I know she is older, and her voice has changed, but I feel like she doesn't try anymore, it's like she sings only to sing., and not sing the shit out of a song like she used to! I adore Mariah so much, but I see how she used to be , an now!!!!!!!!!?????? The money has changed her music, and some of her personality! I pray she get's out this funk, and start singing again!

OK, I am the definitive fan of this particular song "To Be Around You". How do I know that? Because ever since 1991 when the album "Emotions" dropped, I have listened to this particular track at least 10,000 times. This song basically became my ideal of a great pop/R&B song. I have always gone to it when I wanted to hear Mariah at her best. I love it just like the first time, every time I hear it. I wish all her songs were this perfect.

@MrMusic83 lets face it back in the day she needed to prove she was not a studio artist.

also time changed John Legend, Tank and others who really sing are underrated because the type of music they sing is not that popular. Mariah need to show that shes updating with time and that she knows how to adapt different types of music. I will agree that i would prefer Mariah Emancipation cd cause she was singing in "todays" style and it became a hit. Mark my words she will start belting soon

Completely agree with you. I hate those hip hop/rap shits and the slut from the guettos style she has driven her music into! Miss a true singer, like in 90's.
